Last weekend saw the first Adelaide round of the 2017 Australian International Pedal Prix series and it was a fantastic day for us; with a few new riders joining the team for the first time.
The Category 4 event held on Saturday was incident free with Matrix coming home in 6th place overall and Matrii in 20th. We also gave our school aged riders a run in Trixi who ended up in 22nd place; only a few laps behind their teammates!
The school aged event (category 3) on the Sunday came with great results. Matrix while it had a couple of overs early in the race, the riders found a rhythm and finished with an impressive 3rd place and only 4 laps behind the winners and second place. Incredible work by the boys after being down by almost 8 laps early in the rotation. The girls also ran a great race in Trixi and finished up 20th overall against some tough competition and to be the first all female team home by 12laps!!!
Special mention to Hills HPV who in their first race in their Matrix came an incredible 29th. With an extremely young Category 2 team, they were moving along well and we cant wait to see where they can end up in the future! Flagstaff Hills Primary School also had their MatrixAtom out for the first time and had it looking well-presented and going well. Well done everyone!
